Overview
Family Gbese is a Nigerian comedy-drama centred on Nnamdi Nwagba, portrayed by Uzor Arukwe, an ambitious investment banker engaged to the daughter of a powerful politician. Just as his life seems picture-perfect, his older brother Gozie (Mike Ezuruonye) sinks deep into debt with a criminal gang. Nnamdi’s mentor (Muyiwa Ademola) demands he launder money through a major corporate project, or risk his family’s safety. Torn between his career and his loved ones, Nnamdi’s world unravels, leading him into moral and emotional turmoil. The film threads themes of loyalty, ambition, family duty, and the price of success. Genoveva Umeh’s tech-savvy sister, Ayomikun’s younger sister, plays a pivotal role in exposing the criminal conspiracy.
