Michelle Bello is a British–Nigerian award-winning filmmaker, director and producer known for contemporary Nollywood hits and international festival titles. Born in London and raised between Nigeria and the UK, Bello studied Communications and Visual Media in the United States before returning to Nigeria to build a career in film and production. She wrote, produced and directed the acclaimed feature Small Boy (which earned festival nominations and AMAA wins) and later directed the box-office romantic comedy Flower Girl, a Nollywood title that secured theatrical runs in the UK and festival play internationally. As CEO of Blu Star Entertainment, Michelle has also produced shorts, music videos and publications that support the Nigerian film industry, and she is regularly cited as one of the notable young filmmakers shaping modern Nigerian cinema.
