Teniola Aladese is a celebrated Nigerian actress, producer, and casting director with a strong background in film and television production, complemented by her dynamic on-screen performances. Born on September 18, 1993, in Agege, Lagos State, she is the youngest of six children and holds a degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University.
Her entertainment journey began behind the scenes, between 2013 and 2015, she coordinated production on over 30 Africa Magic Original Films, and later served as the production manager on notable TV dramas including Hush and Jemeji. In 2017, she gained widespread recognition for her breakout role as Akweyon in Jemeji, a performance that marked her transition from production to acting.
Since then, Teniola has built an impressive filmography across film and TV. Highlights include standout roles as Lara in Lara of Lagos (2020), Folasade "FK" Kuku in Unbroken (2020), and lead parts in Ricordi, Little Black Book, Soólè (2021), Superstar (2021), and Love in a Pandemic (2023). More recent appearances include the romantic drama Big Love (2023), Family Gbese (2024) as Ayomikun, What About Us (2024), and the Netflix crime thriller To Kill a Monkey (2025).
Teniola has earned industry acclaim, winning the Trailblazer Award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2022 and securing a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the same awards in 2023 for her work in Love in a Pandemic.
Beyond acting, her formative years behind the camera, working up from production assistant to coordinator, manager, and eventually producer, have shaped her impeccable work ethic and understanding of storytelling across the entertainment value chain. She’s also known for her creative hobbies, including drawing, painting, singing, dancing, and exploring exotic food, which reflect her artistic spirit and multifaceted persona.
