The highly anticipated Nollywood movie Gingerrr is finally here, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Directed by Yemi “Filmboy” Morafa, the film tells the gripping story of four stylish and ambitious women who find themselves entangled in a dangerous game much bigger than they bargained for. At the centre of it all is Lala, who pulls together “one heist” that quickly spirals into a tale of friendship, betrayal, secrets, and shocking twists that leave viewers questioning: who is the real villain?
Gingerrr blends mystery, comedy, and drama in a way that feels fresh in Nollywood. The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast led by KieKie, Bisola Aiyeola, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Wumi Toriola, who also double as the executive producers, marking a bold shift toward more Nollywood actors taking ownership and creative control of their projects. Supporting them is an impressive lineup of Nollywood’s biggest names, including Timini Egbuson, Shaffy Bello, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Lateef Adedimeji, Mr Macaroni, Odunlade Adekola, Kamo Daily, Lizzy Jay, Faithia Williams, Michael Ejoor, and Remy Blaq. The movie was written by acclaimed writer Tunde Leye.
The Gingerrr premiere held on September 21st was a true spectacle, with A-list actors, comedians, and influencers showing up in style to support the cast and producers. The buzz from the premiere has only heightened anticipation for its nationwide cinema release on September 26th, 2024, where fans can finally experience the drama, laughter, and suspense firsthand.
For fans wondering where to watch Gingerrr, the movie will be available in cinemas nationwide from its official release date. With its unique storyline, glamorous cast, and star power both on and off the screen, Gingerrr is already positioning itself as one of Nollywood’s standout films of the year.
