Sometimes Netflix drops a movie that gets everyone curious, not because it looks amazing, but because it looks… weird. Fixed is exactly that movie. The posters looked cheeky, the animation looked sleek, and when we saw Genndy Tartakovsky’s name attached (yes, the same genius behind Samurai Jack and Hotel Transylvania), a lot of us hit play thinking: Okay, maybe this will be another adult-animation gem.
But let’s be real; by the time the credits rolled, many of us were wondering if we just wasted 90 minutes watching dogs crack jokes about neutering.
Fixed follows Bull (voiced by Adam DeVine), a lovable dog who finds out he’s about to be neutered. Instead of quietly accepting his fate, he decides to live one last wild night with his buddies before losing his “manhood.”
Cue raunchy jokes, hallucinating dogs, strip-club antics, and more crude humour than an entire season of Family Guy.
On paper, it sounds like the kind of absurd, “so-bad-it's-good” comedy you’d watch with friends just for laughs. In reality? It’s 90 minutes of humour so aggressive and one-note, it feels like the script was written in one sitting after a late-night dare.
At UPreviews, we take content ratings seriously. Our Viewer’s Guide isn’t just a checklist; it’s how we help you decide if a movie fits your mood, your home, or your family movie night. And when we ran Fixed through the guide, the results were clear: 🚩🚩🚩.
The movie is packed with profanity (over 50 f-bombs), crude sexual jokes involving dogs, graphic animal violence bizarrely played for laughs, and even scenes of drug use where a dog hallucinates after inhaling marijuana smoke. On top of that, some moments are just downright disturbing, even for adults.
This is why Fixed is flagged as not recommended for general audiences on UPreviews.

And it’s not just us.
You know it’s bad when even fans of the director are begging for a refund of their time.
If you’re expecting emotional arcs, clever subplots, or that satisfying mix of fun and depth Genndy gave us in Samurai Jack or Primal… you won’t find it here. The heart is tiny, buried under a mountain of sex jokes, crude gags, and barking.
If you’re the type who loves raunchy humour and doesn’t mind the same joke on repeat, maybe Fixed will land for you. And that’s fine, there’s an audience for everything.
But for most people? Especially casual Netflix watchers in Nigeria or across Africa, where people are streaming Nollywood dramas, international thrillers, or even family-friendly animations? Fixed just doesn’t add value. It’s not the kind of film you recommend to your crew for a Friday night binge.
Here’s the truth: Your time matters. Nobody wants to waste an evening on something that feels like a stretched-out skit. That’s why UPreviews exists: we’re your movie companion, helping you avoid mismatched picks.
Instead of sitting through Fixed, why not catch:
Fixed is bold, messy, and unapologetically raunchy, but that doesn’t make it universally worth watching. For most general viewers, it’s a skip. And at UPreviews, we’re not just saying that to be edgy; we’re saying it because your time deserves better.
So, when you’re scrolling through Netflix tonight, remember: not every “new release” is a must-watch. And we’ll always be here to point you in the right direction.
UPreviews Verdict: Skip it. Let’s find you something better.
