The first night of the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards kicked off this weekend, delivering the first wave of Emmy wins ahead of television’s biggest night. The two-night event traditionally honours technical achievements, guest acting roles, and other behind-the-scenes contributions, with night one spotlighting scripted programming.
Apple TV+’s The Studio emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, taking home multiple trophies, including Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes.
Meanwhile, music superstar Beyoncé finally secured her first Emmy after eight nominations, winning Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming for Beyoncé Bowl.
Another highlight came from screen legend Julie Andrews, who won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for voicing Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton. This marks her third Emmy win overall.
Other winners included Bryan Cranston (The Studio), Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt), Julianne Nicholson (Hacks), and Merritt Wever (Severance), alongside standout victories for Arcane, Love, Death + Robots, The Penguin, Andor, and The White Lotus.
