Netflix’s gothic sensation Wednesday is back from the dead—and we’ve been dying to see her. Just a month away from the premiere of its highly anticipated second season, the streaming giant has unveiled the official trailer for Wednesday Season 2, starring Jenna Ortega, while also announcing a worldwide press tour this July and August.
Following the wild events of Season 1, Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, the only school she’s ever returned to willingly—a detail not lost on her mother, Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones). Now a campus celebrity after unmasking the Hyde that haunted Nevermore, Wednesday is once again surrounded by secrets, visions, and looming danger.
The new trailer hints at the stakes—both literal and emotional—being even higher. Wednesday is haunted by terrifying visions of her best friend Enid (Emma Myers) dying, and as black tears fall down her cheek, she utters a chilling confession: “Enid dies, and it’s all my fault.” Morticia, in turn, vows to prevent history from repeating itself.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries,” co-showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar told Tudum, promising a gripping new chapter filled with emotional depth and shadowy twists.
To build global momentum, the cast and crew are embarking on a “delightfully dreadful misadventure” tour across nine countries, including Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and the USA. Tour dates and locations are still under wraps but are expected to be announced soon.
Wednesday first premiered in November 2022 and quickly became a pop culture phenomenon. The series racked up record-breaking views and sparked viral trends—most famously Wednesday’s iconic dance scene, which took over TikTok and inspired fans and celebrities alike.
Now, after months of speculation and waiting, fans can finally mark their calendars: Wednesday Season 2 is on its way, and things are about to get even darker at Nevermore.
