Fans of the Man Without Fear can finally mark their calendars! At New York Comic Con, it was revealed that Daredevil: Born Again will officially debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The series sees Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, continuing the story from the hit Netflix series that aired from 2015 to 2018.
Behind the scenes, Born Again has experienced significant changes, including the replacement of the original showrunners and a reworking of the show’s tone. Unlike its Netflix predecessor, the new Disney+ series will follow the weekly episode format common to Marvel’s Disney+ releases, with a reported nine-episode count. If this structure holds, the series will conclude on April 29, just three days before Thunderbolts premieres in theatres.
Marvel’s plans for Daredevil have been expanding rapidly. Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home and appeared again in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. He’s also set to voice a Daredevil variant in the upcoming Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series.
This announcement follows Marvel’s recent reveal of an epic new Daredevil comic, DAREDEVIL: COLD DAY IN HELL, set to launch next year.
With Born Again premiering between Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, Marvel Studios looks poised for a strong comeback in 2025 following the challenges of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
