Marvel fans, get ready! The latest trailer for Captain America: Brave New World has been released. It promises a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Sam Wilson takes up the iconic shield. The movie is set to premiere on February 14, 2025, as part of MCU's Phase Five.
Following the groundbreaking events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), which concluded Steve Rogers' trilogy, this upcoming film sees Anthony Mackie reprising his role as Sam Wilson, who formally became the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Under the direction of Julius Onah and written by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier duo Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, with additional input from Matthew Orton, the story dives into global conflict and political tension.
Wilson faces his most challenging mission in Captain America: Brave New World. After Thaddeus Ross is elected president, Wilson is thrust into the centre of an international incident. With rising stakes and conspiracy lurking, he must uncover the true forces orchestrating the crisis. Fans can look forward to a powerful cast, with Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford joining Mackie on screen. Notably, Tyler and Nelson reprise their roles from The Incredible Hulk (2008), giving the MCU’s latest film a unique tie to earlier Marvel storylines.
Filming took place primarily at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, with scenes shot in Washington, D.C., between March and June 2023. Originally titled Captain America: New World Order, the film’s name was updated to Brave New World midway through production. In late 2023, Orton was brought on to write material for reshoots, which took place in May 2024.
As anticipation builds, the latest trailer offers a glimpse of the high-stakes action and complex political drama that will redefine Captain America’s journey. Don’t miss Captain America: Brave New World, arriving in theatres on Valentine’s Day 2025, a treat for Marvel fans ready for the next chapter in the MCU.
