Based on the book “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir, the film tells the story of Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling), a professor who, to save humanity, must assume the role of an astronaut.

The trailer features Ryan Gosling as Professor Ryland Grace, who wakes up with temporary amnesia. Slowly, he remembers that he’s on a mission that, if unsuccessful, would mean the end of the world as we know it. So he doesn’t feel fine.

The film stars Ryan Gosling in the lead role as Ryland Grace, Sandra Hüller as Eva Stratt, and Milana Vayntrub as Olesya Ilyukhina. Project Hail Mary marks the long-awaited return to the director’s chair for Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the brains behind "The Lego Movie" and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

The film is set for release on March 20, 2026.
