Idowu Adeyemi (born 4 April 1993), known professionally as Yhemolee, is a Nigerian singer, actor and social media personality who rose from street-level notoriety to mainstream recognition across Nigeria’s music and film industries. A native of Osun State and raised in Lagos, Yhemolee studied at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he developed his interest in performance and entertainment. He first gained broad attention with his 2020 single Mon Cheri (featuring Chinko Ekun and Asake), which helped cement his place in the Afrobeats and street-music scene.
In addition to music, Yhemolee has built a steadily growing acting portfolio in Nollywood, appearing in titles such as Traffic, Reach, IjeBaby Chopping Centre, Hotel Labamba and the ensemble comedy Alakada: Bad & Boujee. His role as Muri Toronto in Gangs of Lagos and other supporting film appearances expanded his reach among Nollywood audiences and streaming viewers. Yhemolee is also known as a nightlife personality and content creator, frequently leveraging social media to amplify his music releases, event appearances and acting projects.
A dynamic entertainer, Yhemolee blends Afrobeats and street-pop sensibilities with on-screen charisma, making him a recognisable name in contemporary Nigerian pop culture. His cross-disciplinary presence in music, film, and social media positions him as a versatile talent in the Nollywood-meets-Afrobeats era.
