The Last of Us Season 2 premiere was on Sunday the 13th of April at precisely 9 pm ET.
The HBO series has been a monumental success so far. Its first season was so huge that it had a viewership record of 30m+ views per episode, earning multiple primetime Emmy nominations and leading to the immediate renewal of season 2.
This season is an adaptation of The Last Of Us Part II, covering only a part of the game's plot. The story begins five years later. Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) are now living in peace in Jackson, Wyoming. Their fragile peace crumbles as their past resurfaces, pulling them into conflict with each other and with a world more dangerous than the one they left behind. This season, new characters, such as Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), and factions, such as the WLF, will be introduced.
Following the great success achieved in season 1, fans have anxiously anticipated the return of the HBO series, and the wait is finally over.
This season will have a total of seven episodes, and the first episode is now available for streaming on Max, with new episodes set to be released every Sunday until the season finale, which will be on Sunday, May 25.
