Òlòtūré: The Journey, the highly anticipated continuation of the 2019 EbonyLife Nollywood crime movie, Òlòtūré, directed by Kenneth Gyang, is set to premiere on Netflix tomorrow, June 28th, 2024.
The original Òlòtūré film followed the gripping story of a young journalist who goes undercover to expose the dark underworld of human trafficking. Unfamiliar with this brutal environment, teeming with ruthless traders and pimps, Òlòtūré finds unexpected warmth and friendship with Blessing, Linda, and Beauty, the prostitutes she lives with. However, she becomes entangled in their lifestyle, finding it increasingly difficult to cope. By the end of the 2019 movie, in her quest to uncover the truth, she pays the ultimate price, leaving viewers in suspense.
The new series, which serves as a sequel to the original film, will feature returning cast members Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverly Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Daniel Etim Effiong, Stan Nze, Bucci Franklin, and others.
