Sinners is easily my best watch of 2025 so far, no debate. I went in not knowing what to expect, but this one gripped me hard. The acting? On point. The casting? Perfect. And seeing Wunmi Mosaku again, especially long after Lovecraft Country, felt like the perfect fit. She ate that role effortlessly. The music, the chants, the atmosphere, it all just worked. The film knows how to build tension without trying too hard, and there’s this quiet intensity that stays with you long after it ends. I’m giving this a strong 9/10, no exaggeration. Everything about Sinners just clicked. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favour.

The movie was incredible, amazing dialogue and performance from the cast especially in the scene where the vampires were basically making a pitch meeting; perfect blend of dialogue and soundtrack. My only critic is that it could have been shorter, the first half of the movie was basically about hiring staff, that could have been a montage with some exception.
