Babatunde Omoroga “Tunde” Adebimpe (born February 25, 1975) is a multifaceted American artist celebrated as a musician, actor, songwriter, director, visual artist, and former animator. As co-founder and co-lead vocalist of the acclaimed art-rock band TV on the Radio, Adebimpe has left a lasting mark on indie and experimental rock since the early 2000s. Beyond music, he’s expanded into acting, appearing in films such as Rachel Getting Married (2008), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Marriage Story, and the blockbuster Twisters (2024), as well as TV roles in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (2024).
Adebimpe’s creative journey also includes stop-motion animation and visual art. He worked as an animator, contributed artwork to TV on the Radio album covers, and self-published the art comic Plague Hero. In 2025, he debuted as a solo artist with his album Thee Black Boltz, a dynamic blend of pop, glam, hip-hop, and industrial rock, praised for its personal, poetic lyrics and genre-defying sound.
