Tobi Bakre, a multifaceted Nigerian actor, model, host, compere, and photographer, soared to prominence after his impressive stint as a finalist on the Big Brother Naija (season 3) reality TV show in 2018.
Born into a family of four children, Tobi grew up alongside his older brother, Femi Bakre, who serves as the CEO of Kraks TV, and two sisters. He completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of Lagos, graduating with Second Class Honours Upper Division in Banking and Finance.
Previously, Tobi embarked on a career in investment banking, contributing his expertise within the office of the Accountant General of the Federation and the banking sector for four years. His remarkable journey led him to participate in the Big Brother Naija (season 3) reality TV show. He's recognized as a brand ambassador for Unilever, Amstel Malta, and Jumia, both within and outside Nigeria.
Tobi has made a mark in the entertainment industry with a myriad of roles. His credits include Sugar Rush (2019), Brotherhood (2022), and several other captivating movies. Notably, in 2023, he portrayed Obalola, a young Nigerian striving to carve his destiny in a world entrenched in crime, in the acclaimed Gangs of Lagos. The movie, featuring an ensemble cast including Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Olarotimi Fakunle, Bimbo Ademoye, Chike, Mr Macaroni, Alabi Pasuma, Zlatan Ibile, Yinka Quadri, Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and other superstars, received five nominations and clinched two prestigious awards.
