Tina Mba is a highly respected Nigerian actress and theatre veteran celebrated for her versatility and emotional depth across stage, television, and film. Born on 2 October 1967 in Enugu State, Nigeria, she was raised in a disciplined military household and is of Igbo (Wawa) heritage, hailing from Umu Ichoku, Umuani, Ezeagu LGA.
Educated at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Enugu and Kilburn Polytechnic in London, where she studied English, Tina brings a literary sensitivity to her performances. With a strong foundation in theatre, she began her acting journey in stage productions including Iphigenia Finds Aiyelala, A Husband’s Wife, The Walking Stick, and Shakespeare's As You Like It.
Transitioning into Nollywood, Tina's on-screen presence became prominent. She received a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards (2011) and later earned another nod for Best Actress in a Comedy at the 5th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (2017). Pulse Nigeria even named her “Actress of the Year” in 2017, highlighting her standout performances in Isoken, Okafor’s Law, and Bariga Sugar.
