Muhammadu Rabi’u Rabiu Rikadawa (born 5 February 1972) is a veteran Kannywood actor, producer and stage performer from northern Nigeria who has become one of the most recognisable faces in Hausa cinema. Born in Kaduna State with family roots in Rikadawa, Madobi (Kano State), Rikadawa launched his acting career through radio and television drama in Kaduna before rising to prominence on the Kannywood film scene. Over a career spanning decades, he’s known for powerful supporting and lead performances in Hausa-language films and for cross-over appearances in Nollywood projects and television series, including roles in Sons of the Caliphate, Ruwan Dare and other well-received productions.
A multi-dimensional performer and occasional producer, Rikadawa has been active in industry leadership and advocacy, serving in guild roles that support film artists in Kano and beyond. His stage charisma and character versatility, often playing authoritative, fatherly or morally complex roles, have earned him nominations and awards at regional film events and increased visibility across Nigeria’s northern cinema markets. Fans and critics frequently cite his contributions to modern Kannywood storytelling, and he remains a popular figure across Hausa-speaking audiences.
