Rasaq Olasunkanmi Olayiwola, widely known as Ojopagogo, is a veteran Nigerian actor, filmmaker, producer, and director from Iseyin, Oyo State. Since launching his career in the early 1980s, he has become one of the most recognizable faces in Yoruba-language Nollywood, famed for his authoritative voice, comedic timing, and elder-statesman roles that anchor many indigenous epics and family dramas. Over the decades, Olayiwola has acted in and produced dozens of films, including “Makan Je” (2001), “Yemoja” (2011), and “Logun Ofe” (2017), and he continues to champion Yoruba culture on and off screen. In 2018 he expanded his creative footprint with Ojopagogo TV, a digital channel showcasing interviews, skits, and cultural programming. He is married to actress-filmmaker Moji Afolayan, and is frequently celebrated within the southwestern Nigerian film community for mentoring younger performers and preserving Yoruba performance traditions.
