Rahama Sadau (born 7 December 1993) is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and singer celebrated for bridging Kannywood (Hausa-language cinema) and Nollywood. Raised in Kaduna, Nigeria, she began performing in childhood dance competitions before breaking out in 2013 with her Kannywood debut Gani ga Wane alongside Ali Nuhu. She quickly became one of the most recognisable faces in Northern Nigerian film, winning Best Actress (Kannywood) at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Beyond Hausa-language hits, Rahama transitioned into English-language Nollywood features and prestige TV, notably Sons of the Caliphate (EbonyLife TV) and the pan-African youth series MTV Shuga (Naija). Her growing cross-market profile led to roles in cinema titles such as Up North and a cameo in the Bollywood action sequel Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha.
An entrepreneur and producer, Rahama founded Sadau Pictures, expanding from acting into content development and talent cultivation. She also launched Ray of Hope, a charitable initiative focused on social impact, and has fronted mainstream campaigns as a brand ambassador. An alumna of Eastern Mediterranean University, where she studied Human Resource Management, Rahama’s career reflects a modern, pan-Nigerian creative identity—Hausa cinema star, Nollywood lead, and culture ambassador who brings Northern aesthetics to wider African and global screens.
