Michelle Dede is a celebrated Nigerian actress, versatile television host, and accomplished film producer known across Nollywood for her charisma and talent. Born on 23 March 1984 in Germany to a diplomatic family, her father, Brownson Dede, served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Ethiopia and Australia. She grew up in multiple countries, including Brazil, Australia, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom.
Her academic path led her to the United Kingdom, where she earned a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from the American College in London, followed by a postgraduate degree in Communications and Public Relations from the same institution.
Michelle’s entertainment industry journey began unexpectedly during a holiday in Nigeria in 2006 when she co-hosted the inaugural edition of Big Brother Nigeria, launching her career as a freelance television presenter and actress. She co-produced the romantic comedy Flower Girl in 2013 and gained worldwide recognition playing Tari Gambadia in the TV series Desperate Housewives Africa (2015). Subsequent acting roles include the thriller What Lies Within (2017) and Moms at War (2018). Other notable films include Eve (2019), The Therapist (2021), La Femme Anjola (2021), With Difficulty Comes Ease (2024), and Ms. Kanyin (2025).
