Kayode Olaiya “Aderupoko” is a seasoned veteran of the Nigerian film industry, particularly celebrated within Yoruba-language cinema. Born on 12 April 1949 in Ibadan, he embarked on his acting career around 1966 and has maintained a dynamic presence in Nollywood for over five decades.

He studied theatre arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, laying a solid foundation for his craft.

His early career included appearances on WNTV, one of Nigeria’s pioneering television stations.

Over the years, he has collaborated with renowned figures like Tunde Kelani, Kunle Afolayan, Funke Akindele, and many others.
