Jemima Osunde (born 30 April 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria) is a dynamic Nigerian actress, model, presenter, and qualified physiotherapist. Hailing from Edo State as the youngest child and only daughter in her family, she spent her formative years in Lagos, attending Air Force Primary School and Holy Child College before earning a degree in Physiotherapy from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos in 2019. Early in her university years, a nudge from her uncle led her to audition for acting roles, launching her career with the film Jungle Jewel (2013).
Her breakthrough came as Leila in the acclaimed MTV series Shuga, earning her national recognition and opening doors to varied roles across film and television. Jemima has starred in notable productions, including The Delivery Boy, which earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, New Money and its sequel Quam’s Money, Lionheart, This Lady Called Life, Water and Garri, and the 2025 Netflix release A Lagos Love Story. She’s also captivated audiences in TV series like Rumour Has It, Papa Benji, and the 2024 high school-themed web series All of Us.
Beyond screen acting, Jemima’s entrepreneurial drive led her to co-found the inclusive beauty brand Sanaa Beauty in October 2023 alongside fellow actress Adesua Etomi. Her multifaceted journey continues to inspire, combining talent, education, advocacy, and business to redefine Nollywood’s new wave.
