Ogranya Jable Osai, born on August 25, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, is a multifaceted artist renowned for his contributions to music, film, and the arts. Raised in a musically inclined family, Ogranya's early exposure to music through his father's involvement in a band and his mother's leadership in morning devotions significantly influenced his artistic journey.
Initially pursuing a degree in Architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, Ogranya transitioned into the music scene in 2016. He began by sharing freestyles and experimental songs on SoundCloud, eventually releasing his debut single, "Black Widow," later that year. His music, characterised by a blend of R&B, soul, Afrofusion, and pop influences, explores themes of love, longing, self-discovery, and resilience.
In 2024, Ogranya expanded his artistic repertoire by venturing into acting. He portrayed Tayo, a tech entrepreneur navigating systemic corruption and political oppression, in the Nigerian action drama film Freedom Way. The film premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win Best Movie and Best Writing at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCAs).
Ogranya's debut studio album, With Open Arms, released in December 2024, showcases his growth as an artist and storyteller.
