Ikechukwu Onunaku is a Nigerian actor, rapper and singer who rose to prominence in both the Nigerian music scene and the Nollywood film industry. Born to Nigerian parents in the United States and raised in Lagos, Ikechukwu first gained wide recognition as a recording artist with hits from his debut era (notably the single that helped establish him in the mid-2000s). He released albums including Son of the Soil and Life and Times of Killz, and won awards that cemented his place in contemporary Nigerian music. In parallel, he built a substantial acting career, appearing in popular Nigerian films and TV productions such as Gbomo Gbomo Express, The Wedding Party and its sequel, and a string of feature films and series through the 2010s and 2020s. Known for his versatile stage presence, crossover appeal and strong Lagos/Nollywood connections, Ikechukwu is frequently described as a multi-talented entertainer, actor, rapper and singer, who bridges Afrobeat music, urban culture and mainstream Nollywood cinema.
