Gideon Okeke is a celebrated Nigerian actor, model, and television presenter, renowned for his compelling performances across Nollywood. He first gained public attention in 2006 as a contestant on the inaugural edition of Big Brother Nigeria, which propelled him into mainstream entertainment. In 2008, he secured a pivotal role in Tinsel (M-Net), portraying Phillip Ade Williams, and has remained one of the show’s longest-serving cast members.
A graduate in Applied Biochemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Gideon later honed his craft with professional training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, embracing the discipline of method acting. On stage, he’s showcased his versatility in productions such as Fractures, Fela… Arrest the Music, and Saro the Musical 2.
In cinema, Gideon’s roles range from his first lead performance as Obi in the film Relentless (2010) to characters in A Place in the Stars (2014), When Love Happens, 93 Days (earning him an AMVCA nomination for Best Supporting Actor), Gidi Blues, Loving Rona (nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2022 AMVCA), and most recently the action drama Tòkunbò (2024) distributed by Netflix.
