Saeed “Funky Mallam” Mohammed is a Nigerian actor, comedian, MC and occasional singer best known for his work across both Kannywood and Nollywood. Born in Auchi (Edo State) and raised in several parts of Nigeria, he trained in Mass Communication at Bayero University, Kano and later moved into acting and comedy. Funky Mallam rose to prominence through TV soaps and serials such as Paradise Park and Face to Face, and has since appeared in numerous feature films, including The Department (2015), Birthday Bash (2015), Almajiri (2022), Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper (2022) and other mainstream Nollywood projects. He is widely recognised for playing Hausa Muslim scholar roles and for bringing comic energy and authenticity to characters across northern- and pan-Nigerian stories. Outside of film, he’s active on social media, runs Fatigam Production, and has hosted TV/soap roles such as Professor JohnBull.
