Elma Kenechukwu Mbadiwe is a talented and rising Nigerian actress celebrated for her dynamic roles in Nollywood. Born on January 28, 1988, in Imo State, Nigeria, Elma pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from The Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, and later honed her craft by earning a Diploma in Acting for Screen from the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos.
Her breakthrough came in 2018 when she starred as the compelling Tallulah in the short film Unbroken. That role catapulted her into the Nollywood spotlight and earned her a Most Promising Actress nomination at the 2018 Best of Nollywood Awards.
Elma has since built a strong filmography, including standout performances in Finding Hubby (2020), Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story (2020), and the Netflix original series Far From Home (2022), where she portrayed Carmen Wilmer-Willoughby alongside a star-studded cast in one of Nigeria’s first youth-focused Netflix dramas. Her notable credits also include Dysfunction (2021) and The Playbook (2023).
