Durotimi Okutagidi Adebule is a rising Nigerian actor and multi-talented creative force making steady artistic strides in Nollywood. Born on September 26, 1999, in Shomolu, Lagos, Okutagidi grew up immersed in cinematic worlds, described by early inspirations like James Bond, Morgan Freeman, Christian Bale, and Denzel Washington. Despite a background in Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (graduated 2023), he gravitated toward performance, joining church theatre groups and studying acting techniques on YouTube.
In early 2024, he attended EbonyLife Creative Academy, where he trained intensively in script analysis and character development, earning the Best Male Lead Actor accolade. He then signed with Boxonia Blueprint under producer Wingonia Ikpi in July 2024, marking a transformative point in his professional journey.
Okutagidi’s breakout performance as Kola in the Prime Video film The Lost Days showcased his ability to embody nuanced, emotionally complex characters and solidified his emerging status in Nollywood. Beyond acting, he demonstrates creative versatility—writing, directing, and doing voice-over work. His short directorial credits include Liberal Nation and the faith-based musical Ile Ayo. He also contributed as a voice actor, body double, and assistant director to the time-loop psychological drama Landline (2025).
Off-screen, Okutagidi is passionate about conservation and uses his scientific background to inform a unique artistic perspective. He aims to channel film as a medium to address societal issues and promote environmental awareness. With upcoming projects like Dear Future Me (on Africa Magic Showcase), Son of the Soil (expected late 2025), Clairvoyant Dorcas (festival circuit), and Dear Lagos Men (YouTube series), he continues to expand his creative footprint.
