Deyemi Okanlawon is a celebrated Nigerian film, television, theatre, and voice actor, renowned for his versatility and magnetic screen presence. Born on 19 April 1981 in Lagos State, Nigeria, he pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and later sharpened his craft by earning a Certificate in Acting for Film from Delyork Creative Academy. His journey into acting began early, at age five in a school play and later in a national commercial at age nine.
After a stint in corporate marketing, Deyemi fully embraced acting in 2013 and has since starred in over 50 productions, spanning films, TV series, theatre, music videos, and commercials. He’s best known for standout roles in high-profile Nollywood and Netflix titles such as Omo Ghetto: The Saga, King of Boys: The Return of the King, Blood Sisters, Elesin Oba: The King's Horseman, and All’s Fair in Love. He was ranked the highest-grossing Nollywood actor in both 2020 and 2021.
Beyond acting, Deyemi has made impactful moves in the industry: he founded Covenant Entertainment Services in 2015, a production, marketing, and talent consultancy, and later held leadership roles at Silverbird Film Distribution, even serving as acting CEO during the 2020 pandemic before returning to full-time acting in 2021.
