Amélie Mbaye is a bilingual Senegalese-American actress, singer, presenter and producer whose career spans film, television and live hosting across Africa, Europe and the United States. Born in Dakar, Senegal, she trained in France (studies in foreign languages, tourism and aviation) before moving into broadcasting and performance, working as a TV presenter and flight attendant early in her career. Over the last two decades Amélie has appeared in African and international films and TV series, performed as an MC and voice-over artist, and developed projects as a producer and director. Based between Los Angeles and Dakar, she is known for multilingual performances in French, English and Wolof and for appearances at major African festivals (including FESPACO). Her notable credits include roles in Borders (Frontières), Something About Her, and Bigger Fish — and she has continued to support training and mentorship initiatives for emerging actors.
