Aisha Lawal Oladunni is a celebrated Nigerian actress, scriptwriter, filmmaker, and producer known for her powerful performances and diverse skill set in Nollywood’s Yoruba-language cinema. A native of Ibadan, Oyo State, she attended Adeen International School and Federal Government College, Ogbomoso, before earning a degree in Law and a second degree in Public Administration from Lead City University.
She trained in acting at Femi Adebayo’s J-15 School of Performing Arts from 2008 to 2010 and made her film debut in Adunmadeke, later rising to prominence with her breakthrough role in Irugbin. Since then, Aisha has featured in over 100 films, often blending her talents as an actor, producer, and writer. Notably, she appeared in the Netflix hit Aníkúlápó as Olori Sunkanmi and starred in the acclaimed film Jagun Jagun. She also produced films like Imu Nika and Opon Ife, and more recently took on a lead role in the 2024 drama Crossroads, where she also served as producer.
Aisha has earned recognition from several award bodies, including nominations at the City People Entertainment Awards (Most Promising Actress of the Year – Yoruba, 2014), Best of Nollywood Awards (Best Actress in Leading Role – Yoruba, 2015), Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (Best Indigenous Language Movie/TV Series – Yoruba, 2016), and City People Movie Awards (Best Actress & Best Supporting Actress – Yoruba, 2018).
A proud cultural ambassador, she is fluent in Yoruba, English, Hausa, and Igbo, bringing authenticity and depth to roles that demand linguistic versatility.
