This listicle includes carefully selected movies not to be missed by any movie lover before the end of the year 2020.

2020 hasn't been so nice on the entertainment industry at large, but we've been provided with some great movies to keep us entertained throughout the year.

The year is fast running to an end. So, we made it a duty to track down ten top movies released within November and December for you to see before we exit 2020. These movies are selected from different genres, including Nollywood and Hollywood movies.

Below are the top ten movies you shouldn't miss before 2020 runs out;


Citation (2020)

Citation is a movie that tells a story targeted at the rampant 'sex for grades' happenings in Nigerian universities. The film is about a female student, Moremi (portrayed by Temi Otedola), who speaks up about her professor's sexual advances, including attempted rape. Kunle Afolayan directed the movie. The movie also features Jimmy Jean-Louis, Gabriel Afolayan, Ibukun Awosika, Sadiq Daba, Ini Edo, Adjetey Anang, and Joke Silva, amongst other seasoned actors. The movie is available to watch on Netflix, having positive reviews from most of its audience.


Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story (2020)

After a successful blockbuster in 2018, Living in Bondage, and Merry Men 2 in 2019, Ramsey Nouah comes again to add his impact in yet another blockbuster movie. The Ahanna Story, which hit the cinemas on November 13, is the remake of the 1999 version of Rattlesnake produced by the late Amaka Igwe. The remake of movies isn't straightforward, but Ramsey Nouah did justice to this. The film is about a youth named Ahanna(Stan Nze) who has no one to take care of him after losing his father. He teamed up with Nzenuozo (Bucci Franklin) and Amara (Osas Ighodaro) and created an armed robbery gang, Armadas. The leader of the band is Ahanna, and his non-violent ways of stealing characterized him. Watch this movie and discover the role of non-conflicting interests in an organization.



Greenland (2020)

Gerard Butler comes again with another blockbuster after a successful Angel Has Fallen movie in 2019. This time, he isn't protecting the US president or the Russian President like he did in London Has Fallen or Hunter Killer. What happens when fireballs rain from above and there is only one place in the world that is not affected? Greenland is a movie that shows how a man, John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife (Morena Baccarin), and their son (Roger Dale Floyd), scour for survival amid a cataclysmic natural disaster. The movie is full of emotional triggering scenes as everybody searches for the only safe place on Earth. Will Gerard Butler be able to save his family like he has been saving the POTUS? Watch Greenland and know the lengths people go to protect their families. The movie features the comedy star King Bach, Claire Bronson, Ric Roman Waugh, and many others.


Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

What has happened in 1984 shouldn't stay in 1984. That's why Petty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and David Callaham want to let you guys know what happened. The movie was set in 1984, during the Cold war. Diana Prince / Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) faces two supervillains, Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah. Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) is a media businessman. The Cheetah, also known as Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig), was a Wonder Woman friend, as we have seen in previous DC movies, who later turned to her enemy. We watch as wonder woman fights her way to justice and continues her love journey with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). The movie is set to be released on December 16, 2020.


A Soldier's Story: Return from the Dead (2020)

What do you think of a soldier's work? You are about to find out what Nigerian soldiers do experience.

A Soldier's Story: Return from the Dead is a sequel to the 2015 award-winning movie, A Soldier's story. The film is set to premiere on December 11. The scenes of the movie will be featuring Nigeria and the fictional Watz Republic. The movie is about Regina (Linda Ejiofor), who journeyed out of Watz Republic searching for her heart desires leaving her brother behind. Will Regina come back alive? Will she see her brother again? These questions can only be answered in December. The movie shows all kinds of troubles a soldier can face during the war; terrorism, famine, women's rights, among so many others. The film features Eric Roberts (Hollywood), John Vogel (Hollywood), Berit Glaser (Hollywood), Akin Lewis (Nollywood), Segun Arinze (Nollywood), Michelle Dede (Nollywood), Chris Attoh (Ghollywood), Vimbai Muthinri (Zimbabwe) and many others.



Vanguard (2020)

What happens when the world's deadliest mercenary organization is after your life? This is precisely answered by the chain of events involving an accountant called Qin Guoli (Jackson Lou), who was threatened by an organization known as Arctic Wolf. As we all know, wolves hunt in a pack. Qin seeks help from an international security company, Vanguard, led by Tang Huanting (Jackie Chan). Watch as Tang Huanting, and his men try to save Qin. Will they save him from the pack of wolves that is after him? Find out in Vanguard before the year runs out.


Quam's Money (2020)

The famous Inkblot Productions and FilmOne Entertainment are ready to drop another bomb in the Nigerian movie industry. Months after their recent partnership deal with Netflix, Inkblot Productions partners with House 21 TV and FilmOne NG to develop a new project. Quam's Money is a sequel to New Money, a 2018 comedy-drama. The movie is about how a security guard, Quam (Folarin Falana Falz), become a multimillionaire. To answer how he did it, you need to watch this movie when it hits the theatres on December 11. The film promises to be fun, and we bet you don't want to miss Falz's comedy. Falz will feature alongside Michelle Dede, Williams Uchemba, Jemima Osunde and many other top Nollywood playmakers.



The Croods: A New Age (2020)

If you didn't get enough of what happened in the first version of the Croods, then this new release is for you. Who doesn't love better living? Even the Croods love enjoyment. The movie started with a flashback of Guy's parents' death, which led to the first movie. The Croods finally found a place to live, but they have to tolerate the Bettermans, another clan living in the area. Amid the distrust between them comes a new enemy. Will the Croods and the Bettermans unite to fight their enemy? What will happen to Guy (Ryan Reynolds) and Eep (Emma Stone)? Find out in The Croods: A New Age.


Ratnik (2020)

Ratnik is that movie you don't want to miss. One of the first Nigerian movies that combine science fiction and action. The film will be released on December 4, 2020, after its initial postponement due to COVID-19. Ratnik is about a World War III veteran, Sarah (Osas Ighodaro), who returns home to be welcomed by chaos in her land. She has to save her sister, who is now a drug abuser, from various war machines. Will Sarah be able to save her sister and her land from the menace ravaging the land? Watch Ratnik and know the answer to this question. Osas Ighodaro is joined with Adunni Ade, Bolanle Ninalowo, Meg Otanwa and many other movie actors.


Run (2020)

If you are a fan of horror-thriller movies, then this last entry is for you. You must also know that Sarah Paulson is one of the best people in this field. Her role in the American series, American Horror Story, can't be forgotten. Run is about a wheelchair-using Chloe (Kiera Allen) who suspects that her mother (Sarah Paulson) is hiding a dark secret from her. Her suspicion arose when she discovered a green pill, Trigoxin, which is universally a red pill. What is the purpose of the drug? Is it true that someone can't escape a mother's love? Very good list, but it should be longer, and November to December is a short range.
