Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown becomes the sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) in the just-released teaser of the Enola Holmes movie by Netflix.
Netflix on Monday, 17 August 2020 released the first look at their upcoming Enola Holmes movie with a tweet from their official Twitter account. The film adapted from the book ‘The Enola Holmes Mysteries’ by Nancy Springer creates a new dimension to the Sherlock Holmes movie.
The movie stars Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown as the sister of the notorious but intelligent detective, Sherlock Holmes. She is way younger than but as well gifted as her elder brothers; Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes.
The teaser released by Netflix also reveals the ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘The Witcher’ actor, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, and the ‘Me Before You’ star Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes.
Just like it should be, Netflix gave a hint on the release date of the movie the Holmes way with the video caption on the tweet reading;
“alone loshme reeebtpms wnettyrhitd”
This caption is a puzzle that can be easily cracked to “Enola Holmes September Twenty Three” which gives the release date of the movie to be September 23 on Netflix.
The movie seeks to follow the footsteps of the Extraction and The Old Guard movie in being one of Netflix’s big hits in 2020.
The story follows Enola as she wakes up on her 16th birthday only to discover that her mother has disappeared leaving behind an old assortment of gifts but no clue as to where or why she is gone. She is left to live under the care of her brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes who both plan on sending her to school to study as a proper lady. But Enola doesn’t like the idea and chooses to run to London in search of her mother. But her journey entangles her with a long runaway lord and she is made to become a super-sleuth on her own.
