Berta in Two and a Half Men Suffers a Heart Attack

Conchata Ferrell in a critical condition after surviving health scare

77-year old Hollywood actress gives fans a scare after cardiac arrest.


Conchata Ferrell who played the role of feisty housekeeper Berta, in ace CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, suffered a heart attack and is currently in a long-term care facility in an hospital.

The sitcom star was ill in May, and had to be taken into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she spent four weeks and had to stay alive using a respirator and dialysis machine. She sufferered a cardiac arrest during that period, and is still left "semi-conscious" and  unable to communicate.


According to her husband Arnie Anderson while speaking to TMZ, he said "It's going to be a while before there's any recovery. It's all neurological. He added, "There's nothing we can do to speed it up the process. We are hoping for the best."


The 77-year old veteran left quite an impression on fans for her role in Two and a Half Men, as well as other movies including famous vampire series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 to 2003.
